db audioware DMX fixture library
for Show Buddy Active, D-Pro and DMXIS
General notes
This website is an online fixture database for Show Buddy Active, D-Pro and DMXIS users. It contains both db audioware and
customer generated fixture definitions.
To use the database, first create an account using the Create account... button.
Once logged in, you can browse and download all the public fixture definitions, and optionally create and publish your own.
Downloading fixtures.
- Show Buddy Active and DMXIS users: Select the required fixture in the Public fixture definition window
and click on Download for Show Buddy Active or DMXIS. This will download a zip file to your computer. The zip
file contains the ".dmx" file, which should be copied to your fixture library folder.
Location of Show Buddy Active fixtures:
- Windows : C:/Users/Public/Public Documents//db-audioware/Show Buddy Active/DmxLibrary
- Mac : /Library/Application Support/db audioware/Show Buddy Active/DmxLibrary
Location of DMXIS fixtures:
- Windows : C:/Program Files (x86)/ENTTEC/DMXIS/DmxLibrary
- Mac : /Library/Application Support/ENTTEC/DMXIS/DmxLibrary
There is a subfolder for each manufacturer. You can copy fixture files into to any existing subfolder, or create your own subfolder (e.g. “DmxLibrary/Bobs Fixtures”).
D-Pro users: Run D-Pro on your computer, open the patch window, and click on Get new
fixtures.... You can then choose individual fixtures to import into D-Pro, or optionally import the entire library.
Creating your own fixtures
- Click on New in My Fixtures to open an empty Fixture Editor window.
- Select the manufacturer and enter the fixture name and an optional text description.
- Create a Fixture Mode with the appropriate name (e.g 4 channel, 6 channel).
- Highlight the fixture mode and create channels as appropriate for that mode.
- Highlight each channel and create channel ranges as appropriate.
